SPACE-COMPLEX "KAIKS"

'KAIKS' Space-Complex is designed for performing the following tasks:
- Register high-speed impact parameters of meteoric and man-caused particles with the spherical surface of SC 'KAIKS' sensor, record the calculated results of the impacts for further transmission to the ground stations via radiotelemetric channels;
- Conduct dynamic tracking of density changes in upper atmosphere in the altitudes from 200 to 1000 km;
- Evaluate aerodynamic properties of objects in space.
Orbital injection of SC 'KAIKS' is carried out as secondary payload on 'Resurs'/'Foton' carrier with further separation.
Upon separation SC 'KAIKS' is put on autonomous non-oriented flight. The data transmission is done in three sessions per orbit in automatic mode.
Transmitted telemetrical data is received by the ground measuring stations.

Project execution stages:
1. Inject 'KAIKS-1' into orbit up to 400 km in order to verify operating capabilities of scientific equipment, design and fabrication method for capacitor-based sensors as well as zero-impact disagreement system and board system.
2. Inject 'KAIKS-2' with advanced equipment set into orbit up to 1000 km using its own booster.
